Prague, Czech Republic - Don’t you have an access to net at your home? Do you need to attend your e-mails, read news, to connect information from electronic sources with information from books? Let’s go to the library!
All branches of the Municipal Library of Prague (MLP) offer the access to internet. You can find 40 branches at the area of Prague and where isn’t the „stone“ library, there is stop of our mobile library, bibliobus. Every library has 2 PCs in minimum with i-net access.
New service is wi-fi connection for public that our library offers at all branches. For this service you just need wi-fi card in standard 802.11b or 802.11g, then you select the nearest library, inside you find the private and nice place, you find nets and connect to „Mestska knihovna“. You can surf all day with it. For technical reasons there is no wi-fi connection in mobile libraries. Internet is free at the Municipal Library of Prague and for everyone - to have a reader’s card is not necessary.
